VirtualBox, Server virtualizer

The VirtualBox open source full virtualizer from Oracle is a general purpose tool to run complete operating systems with complex software installation on any other computer with x86 hardware. It works with all common computer systems. While it is possible to run different windowing front ends, we use it in the KaraSpace setting primarily as a tool to deliver complex and large scale server installations, that can be installed and executed with ease at any home server or on a provided dedicated server.

All that need to be done by the private server provider is to install the free VirtualBox system on the home server, download our provided server as a virtual machine file and run it on the VirtualBox software. Some settings like new passwords, the access for SFTP, Autostart settings and the settings for Lets Encrypt still needs to be done, but are exactly provided by us, so that also non Pros can make the server up and running.

 

The  VirtualBox running here the KaraSpace WordPress front-end. Make our settings to the Fritzbox and our decentralized network is up and running.
